Pima County Property Taxes Going Down
The Tucson Association of REALTORS made this announcement to it’s members in an email. It is good news for Pima County property tax payers.
The Board of Supervisors approved a 10 cent per $100 dollars of assessed valuation property tax cut for home owners and businesses in Pima County.
You may remember last year that our property taxes were raised by this amount last year to cover expenses that the Arizona Legislature required Pima County to pay that were previously funded in the state budget.
Pima County successfully sued the State of Arizona over this issue that added an additional $18 million dollars in new expenses for Pima County taxpayers.
The Court ruling also eliminated the need for additional tax increases to cover these same expenses this year.
